[ Envy is babysitting Gluttony today, and there are shenanigans going around. Right now, somewhere in the city of Goldenrod, Envy and Gluttony are hiding in dark alleys and watching people pass by.

Just as you happen to be passing by, Gluttony will suddenly be rushing out at you! He's been instructed to not eat anyone, but it's still got to be a pretty terrifying thing to see, having a large man -- is that even a man? Could be a Pokemon, in all honesty... -- charging at you, mouth wide open, drool everywhere, and sporting a rather crazed look that only people who haven't been fed in a while have.

[ If Gluttony had his powers, a punch to the gut would mean nothing; he'd barely feel it. But unfortunately, he's a human here, and... he definitely felt that one.

He stumbles back, feeling a bit stunned, and rubbing his stomach.

What is this strange feeling? ... What does he do with it? ]

[conner puts his fists up and quickly gets into a fighting stance.]

[ He takes a minute to rub his stomach until it feels a little better, and then Gluttony will just get up and walk over to the side a little. If he attacks from behind, that'll be easier, right? Away from that fist that seems to hurt a lot. ]

[he lowers his fists some, but not enough to drop his guard all together. he circles around as he waits for the next attack. usually he'd charge right on in, but this time... this time he's trying a different approach.]

[ Oh. Circling him to get to the other side won't work. ... this one will move with him.

Gluttony pauses and glances back at the alley that he'd bolted out of. Is he supposed to continue with this one... or...? ]

[okay, what? he's like... not attacking. and why does he keep looking back at the alley?]

[he crosses his arms.] Will he now? You gonna rely on him for the rest of your life? Let him tell you what to do? What not to do?

[ Blank stare. ]

[ Nodding. Yep. That's how that goes. ]

[And now Envy's thinking that this joke has gone on long enough. He doesn't think it'll work, but watching Gluttony get a talk about independence isn't something he wants to do. Or something he thinks Lust would particularly appreciate him watching happen.]

[So out of the alley he runs, pretending he hasn't been there this whole time. There's no hiding that it's the same alley Gluttony had been looking back at before, though.]

Finally caught up to you!

[Trying to act like a cocky teenage hero and hopefully not like whoever this guy is picturing as Gluttony's brother.]

[his face softens a bit as he looks at Gluttony.] That's no way to live. You can't keep that kind of lifestyle for long. Only obeying what others tell you to do. Don't you want to live?

[he turns around quickly and warily eyes Envy.] Let me guess, you're his brother?

[ He looks down at himself. Might even be poking himself a bit, there. ... He's pretty alive? This is living, right?

But before he has a chance to answer, Envy appears. So he'll just nod along. Yes, yes that's his brother. ]

[THANKS GLUTTONY. So much for even the vague pretense of keeping that a secret. like it was going to stay a secret anyway, Envy...]

[Still, man you're kind of annoying aren't you? Envy frowns.]

[he crosses his arms.]

Is that all he's good for? Being told what to do? And WHEN to do it?

He's good for a lot of things, with guidance. [aka commands, and Envy's clear about the implications. ...He might be feeling a little spiteful about the general subject. And he never has been good about resisting taking jabs at people when he probably shouldn't.]
